Ì'm not. I lived there for 9 months, and the degree of stress I went through as a result of the passive aggression received from state authorities and a percentage of the population, plus a lot of crooks against anyone who spoke English wasn't worth it.

When I eventually said goodbye to people on the expat site, I was asked why I was leaving. I told them. A large percentage of people said that they were leaving as welll - for those reasons, and a lot more.

For example, several people said that they wanted repairs done to their homes. They would be given a quote, but it could only be done 6 months in the future. Then they would talk to their neighbor because the same company was doing the same job two houses down, and they would discover those people had the work done in a week at half the price.

I had to pay rent for a year upfront because i was a 'foreigner.' I had to give four months notice, and was not given my deposit back. I closed my bank account, only it wasn't closed. So my pension payments went in there. I'm hopefully going to get it back now.

I was hounded endlessly for tax, even when I didn't qualify. It just went on and on and on.

I've lived in many countries int he EU. I've never experienced anything like that.
