Yup. If one has to choose, it can be hard to know what the best options are. I did not take on American citizenship because, if I had, I would have lost my German (EU) citizenship. I can live in 39 countries without immigrating or having to do anything other than relocate, precisely because I am a German citizen, and therefore an EU national.

I finally left the States, and I was also pleased that because I was not an American, I did not have to continue paying tax, even though I lived in another country.

Is it mandatory to vote in Brazil? That is weird. :)
