Yup. I was living in London (dual South African/German) when I won a green card and decided to go and live in the States. It was life changing, but, hell, when I asked someone what the British sterling rate was, they didn't know what British Sterling was.

And from there on, it was all the way downhill. Plus, the web was way slower. Then someone told me the biggest fight in the States was abortion. Crazy.
