Yup I realize that. That is why I have a concept of group leaderships.

However, the site would be dedicated to climate change and other topics would not be wlecome. Thee would be ways of keeping this on track (I can think of a few things).

People would, of course, be welcome to meet IRL and then they can talk about what they like.

The reason I think it's important to have a numbers limit and that the group keeps splitting into smaller groups (plus give people the option of chosing which group they would go into) is to increase compatibility.

For instance, say that initially, the site connected two people who were 10 miles apart. Because there are so few people that join initially, people would be much further apart.

A year down the line, there would be substantially more people, and in that 10 square mile radius, there would now be 4000 people. The group would have subdivided 20 times by then, and ever single time a subdivision happened, people would have the choice to dicide which group they wanted to continue with.

So, essentially, if two people started off by being 10 miles apart, they could technically have decided to work together.
