You've just said something I used to try to explain to people. Conversation has to be a two way street.

I'm okay with my own company, now, but more than that, the time I spent on Google Plus brought me into contact with many people that shared my interests and perspectives, and I can honestly say that I now have a good few dozen internet connections who have become friends over the past decade. I will never have a partner, though, and that's okay. :)
