You’re not up to date. The Tavistock child gender clinic was closed a month ago. And very, very young children are going through gender change – as a result of decision making by others.

Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust has been told to shut the clinic by spring after it was criticised in an independent review. The changes will take place after an independent review, led by Dr Hilary Cass, said the Tavistock clinic needed to be transformed.”

The transgender clinic was closed after a follow up of the percentage of people who committed suicide or who were depressed after the operation was investigated. There was a bias to get people assigned to gender reassignment operation as money was made through it. People were encouraged to have these operations when the real issues were mental confusion and (dare I say it without getting suspended from Medium) mental illness. That is what the newspapers are saying in the UK.
