Your seven signs of what it takes to be a successful writer fascinated me. I don't think a single one of them applies.
1. I have never had a day in my life when I have had trouble writing. I sit down, and it pours out of me. The other day someone commented on an article I write that I was probably the most gifted writer on Medium. I get that a lot.
2. I don't play with words
3. I don't show up if I don't want to
4. I've never thrown a tantrum in my life.
5. I don't walk around saying I have a book inside me. I do, however, write them. My score on goodreads is about 4. aggregate.
6. I most definitely don't struggle with distraction. I sit down and it pours inside my head. In fact, I have to sit down and get it out, otherwise it won't go away.
7. Never written for claps or read. I write for money. And while I would probably write if I didn't have to earn money, I wouldn't submit for publication.
So, basically I'm never going to be a successful writer. Well, I'll be 71 tomorrow, 17th, and I've written and published more words than I can ever count - as a ghostwriter, a scriptdoctor, a copywriter, an SEO writer, a feature writer, an author, but I have to confess, never a content writer, and not yet a script writer although several producers have asked me to write for them.
