Your response made me laugh. It certainly explains your response about the Koran to me.
Okay. if you live in America, let me correct you about some things. Unless you do the Mensa test, they don't do IQ tests. They combine general knowledge with a few logical questions.
You can study for SAT. It is not an IQ test. You cannot study for an IQ test.
No idea what a 380 is in Math. I do recall, though, getting 100% for math all the time up to 2nd year college. Then I dropped it. In second year, my daughter and I were studying math together. The tutor told me that he had a masters in math from UCLA and he had never seen anyone to math like my daughter and I. Apparently, it was unusual for people to study math concepts for an hour, then do the test/exam, do it in half the time allocated, and get 100%. No idea how that relates to 380.
I've done many different IQ tests. In all of them I pass the genius mark. My first one was by the South African government in which I scored 165. My late brother scored 185. My lasts one was a 5 hour test given by a doctor in which I completed it in 90 minutes. I scored off-the-graph. The one prior to that, I was told that I had the highest creativity score the doctor had seen in his 30 year history of conducting those tests. In the one prior to that, also a five hour test, I was told I was in the genius category, although I wasn't told the score.
So, here's my opinion. Until one has the capacity to function in all categories, one has an unbalanced view, and it is not accurate.
As for EQ, everybody was always telling me I had low EQ because I was blunt. About a year back I did three EQ tests, two with Ivy league universities and one with Mayo clinic (I think it was then). I scored above average on two of them and very high on the third.
As for Daniel Goleman, the guy who wrote the first book on Emotional Intelligence, I read it at the time, and having read some 600 books on psychology, neurology, and self-help, I could pick a few bones with him. Not impressed.
Thankfully, no, they don't give scholarships for EQ. One needs brains for that.
