You should take a look at what lithium (rare earth) mining is doing to Africa. The pollution and destruction is horrendous. Whatever 'benefits' solar panels bring, they take back in the additional pollution they bring. Solar panels to not last forever. Once they come to an end (10 or 20 years), they become toxic waste. Becareful what you advise others. I, personally, am not in the businses of giving advice.
