I learnt a lot of history during my school and college years - starting with eolithic, paleolithic, and neolithic cave men, through Hittites, and Babylonians, moving on to Greece and Rome, the Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire, the Ottoman Empire, the British Empire, the unification of Germany and of Italy, the Reformation, the Enlightenment. WWI, WWII, the French Revolution, the various French, British, and Russian Kings (tzars,etc).

No, we didn't do American history because during my youth, America was not considered particularly important. But nowhere in this was there any sign of Jews playing a major role.
