You know what puzzles me?

Both my sister and I supposedly have osteopenia and bits of osteoporosis.

At 68, she is still doing cartwheels, dancing (ballet, tap, etc.) is incredibly strong and active, with a 16 year old body. At 70, until a year ago, I was swimming a mile with ease, walking 10 miles easily, and cycling for a couple of hours most days. I'm a bit out of it now due to lockdown, but I certainly don't have any aches and pains.

We've both had very different dietry styles, but neither of us smoke, use drugs, or get drunk - life long habits.

I don't get that if we have osteoporosis why we don't fall and break our bones. (Hope those aren't famous last words.)
