You know what I find fascinating? It's the response of quite a few that I'm talking about military intervention.
Years ago, I read a story on an expat website. The story was written by an American expat in France. She had been sitting in a cafe, and outside a car backfired.
Every single American in the place dived under the tables, and everybody else just either carried on or looked around to see what was happening.
I was writing about the hypocrisy of the left - about their shouting and screaming about how Israel is genocidal, but they are overlooking the armed conflicts in Africa in 15 nations where they have the same problem - of religious fanatics trying to overtake a country.
The rise of the right in the EU, in the UK, and now in Ireland is the backlash against people trying to enforce Islam in those countries, their increasing violence,
There are definitely countries vying for international dominance - China and Russia, for instance. The EU is just concerned about the good of its citizens. There are two ideologies that are also vying for dominance - Christianity in America, and Islam internationally.
Of all of these, Islamic sharia is the most dangerous. Americans don't even know it's there. Certainly, the useful idiots who are supporting Palestine have no idea what is going on.
Africa holds most of the world's mineral wealth, as the Middle East holds a good deal of its all. Who do you think is going to to shut down the world when they dominate Africa?
Why do you think that China has destroyed 3000 mosques and calls Islam a mental illness?
America has no chance of regaining international dominance. Like all countries that has made a religion dominant, innovation by mankind is not accepted and people have been dumbed down. American does poorly internationally on so many fronts, its inconceivable to me that it was once considered - for a very brief time after WWII - as a great country.
It is a great pity.
