You just made me laugh. Well, 30 years in jail probably gave Nelson Mandela a lot of time to think. He was an amazing man.
That said, yes, finding the right man for overall leadership will be difficult. But then you only need one (for the 320 million people in the USA), so I'm sure that more than one exists.
I think you are right about the desire to lead. I am a natural leader - INTJ- and I fit all the boxes - strategist, blah, blah. I have absolutely no desire whatsoever to lead. It would be too draining.
How about a council of 9 or 11 or something like that - no president?
