You don't bore me. I think you're a good writer. Have you read my 'about' section. I think I know a good writer when I see one.

I just think you're missing the point.

If you want to learn about people, read psychology books. And observe people.

Decades ago, when I was working for a newspaper, the publisher of various Nobel and Booker prize winners was in the office along side the newspaper.

I asked her for a critique on my work, and she said that she had no doubt about my talent. She asked me if I read fiction or non-fiction. I said non-fiction. She said "All my writers read non-fiction."

You said something I interesting. You said you learnt a lot from reading those books. Well, yes ..But one doesn't have to lead literary fiction to learn. Even good commercial fiction writers have that.

You're already a good writer....
