You clearly don't understand what I said.

I was born in Africa, therefore, if I'm going by country or continent, I am African. However, I am white. Did you not look at my picture.

I have also speent many decades living in various countries in Africa. Africa also means to be black. In Africa, we call people blacks, whites, or coloreds (mixed race).

We also differentiate between tribes - xhosa, zulu, ndebele, shongaan, etc.

So, in America, the word African is meant to mean black, and they are most certainly black. However, they don't have an African culture, and they weren't born in Africa.

The word African means different things. So, African American in that it means black American is quite acceptable.

I thnk I know a helluve lot more about this than you do.

For the record, I also spent 11 years in America.
