You are correct. I realized yesterday that it was killing me answering people who just wanted to win an argument or put one down. I stopped responding to people on some of my stories that have a lot of traffic at the moment. Not worth the angst or the time.

That said, I have always felt it a courtesy to respond to my readers, but sometimes it takes too much out of one.
