You, and others who have read this article, have given me similar responses.

After spending some 45 or 50 years of my life being part of different schools of mystical thought - Christianity, Judaism, New Age, whatever, I eventually realized that the only reason it wasn't helping me in any way whatsoever was that it couldn't be real.

I have never had one day's help or one minute of peace from any of these beliefs. They stressed me out no end. The happiest day of my life was when I realized none of it was real. An enormous weight feel off my shoulders.

I dont' particularly care if there's life after death or not. It's irrelevant to me. I am emotionally strong, so I don't need a pretend figure to hold me up.

Because I made so many bad decisions while following those religions, I know exactly how negatively it impacted my life. And how it negatively impacts society.

So we're just going to have to differ on this.
