Yes, there are some who actually have a sufficiently keen understanding of human nature, and enough of a way with words to make them worth reading.

I suppose, to me, Hemingway's command of language makes him a masterful read. Language can certainly be exquisite, and there are those who say things that have simply never been said before.

The thing is that it is more likely to be in plot driven fiction than in literary fiction! :)
