Yes, Christianity does not want it's children taught science, and Islam does not want women to be educated.' Have you read the bible and the Koran? We are not talking about people who practice these religions - we are talking about what the actual religion teaches.

What I always found interesting is the number of contradictions and different teachings in both these books, and how denominations grow from focusing on one particular verse or a couple of verses. Those verses become the main focus of a particular group, and everything else in those books is forgotten.

And, yes, both religions most certainly do not want their adherents to be taught information that is diffrent to what they contain. And that is modern science.
