Yes, but I (and many other writers) would be dead in the water if we wrote on substack. We're neither marketers nor world famous. I've been writing for a living on the web since 1999, and I've been on the web since it had 3004 sites - long time. and I know exactly how difficult it is to get traffic.

I would never write for any place where I had to focus on getting traffic. I'm more than happy with the trade off.
