Yes, and I am 100% against it. I was prepared to do everything - learn German more thoroughly however long it took. And all I got from Germans was contempt for why I was German and could barely get by. I could understand it more than speak it.

The fact that I was born shortly after WWII, was the daughter of a Holocaust victim, and that my mother was scared I was get confused if I learnt three languages all at once, didn't count. Plus, of course, with an auditory processing disorder, it's more difficult for me than for others to learn a language.

But try as I might, nobody would help me.

So, with respect, fuck Germany. I am old, but I struggle to earn a little income. Writing is all I have, and if my daughter didn't pay the rent, I would be out on the streets. I don't deserve that.

There is something seriously wrong with the liberal German view that everybody who hurts or pretends to be hurt from other countries is entitled to immediate help, but your own citizens, the outcome of WWII, are not.
