WTF??? Why is the piece angry or defensive? I didn't even know until about 10 years ago what American politics were about. Firstly, I only arrived in the States in 2003, and I had no interest in their politics. And the only reason I found out about it was that people kept talking about it on Google Plus. So in about 2014, I started reading up about it, learning about it.

By that time, I had already left America - it's not for me.

I'm explaining my viewpoint by providing evidence. Why is that an issue for you?
