WTF? This has been in fashion on and off since the 80s. Nothing to do with the hue of one's skin.

Her offense is having “appropriated” a technique — long used by Black and Latina women — of applying brown lip liner and clear gloss, which apparently led others to think she was starting a fashion trend that actually isn’t new to anyone with a skin tone darker than beige.
