Wow. I've been on the web since 1994, started writing on it for a living since 1999, joined my first social media site in 2008 (Facebook) although prior to that, we joined forums.

I have never found social media to provide me with readers. Sure, one or two or six or seven come from social media, but not enough to warrant any excitement.
