Wow. Clearly you have no idea what journalism is. Nothing on Medium is journalism - they're all opinion pieces. And there is no such thing as an 'independent journalist.' It's not possible to be a reporter without vast resources behind one. One either buys stories from news agencies like Reuters (for whom my father worked at one point) or Associated Press, or one is bought and paid for by parties with an agenda.

My story was quite clear in differentiating between Muslims and Jihadi. I, therefore, take it that you didn't bother to read the entire thing, and you jumped to a conclusion. Stupid.

Also, let me be blunt. It has always been an 'us against them world,' a world in which there is a constant fight between good and evil. You are extremely naive if you think that will ever change.

Why do I need to mention the US in any of this? It has nothing to do with it? I first came across Jihadi propaganda in Cape Town (South Africa) in 1981. It shocked the hell out of me. The next time I came across it was in Kilburn, London in 1999. I first time i met a Jihadi (who attempted to kill me) was a year later.

I don't know how many Muslims you have met, but I've been to mosques, attended services, had Muslim friends, worked with them, and studied the Abrahamic religions for 10 years. I've also read the Koran, the bible, and the Torah.

I read Chomsky a long time ago, and he is undoubtedly right about some things, but he is human, and he is also wrong. As for Jeffrey Sacks, he is entitled to his own opinion, but in my book he's an idiot. Feel free to believe who you like - you're entitled to do that.
