Why The World Isn’t Working the Way You Think It Should

Too many people have been told fairy tales, and when the fairy tale doesn’t come true, they fall into despair or anger.

The earlier we understand how life works, the earlier we can apply the wisdom that is so necessary to building a better life. Own photo.

I think the way to start this is to explain how the world functions. It’s not about how it should function, but how it does function, and I’m going to do it in bullet point.

  • Both men and women can be arseholes (or be awesome). The dark side of women tends to be sly, malicious, jealous, manipulative, and will destroy other women in devious ways. You won’t see women coming. Men primarily want sex, and they will flatter women, tell them lies, pretend to be things they aren’t, in order to get that sex. They will also harass and abuse power in order to get it. Men will tend to fight up front — you can see them coming.
  • Nobody owes anyone anything. If there is a decision to be generous towards others, whether in law or in philanthropy, this is not built into human nature, regardless of what some will tell you. The primary instinct of any human being is to survive, and if that means destroying those who are not of their tribe, they will do this.
