When I was living in South Africa, my sister paid for me to fly back to London to renew my Stripe account and connect payments to my British bank account. Thus I was able to write for Medium during the year I was in South Africa.

I did, discover, however, that none of my writing took off - there were very few views. Two weeks after I moved to Germany, my writing had the most views every and I made my first $100. That same month, I won $500 (April 2021) for being one of the top 1000 writers on Medium.
