What Moderates Should Do Politically

Currently, the USA is caught between two extremes (and the UK is caught between numerous fools). There is a way through, but it is not through marches, angry speeches on the web, building up huge followings, agreeing with each other, etc. It is through directly grabbing the reins of power. It also needs to be done quietly.

When I say it needs to be done quietly, I mean that while building up a following, the other side doesn’t take note. If the hoards of extremists are unaware of the increased power of the moderates, they won’t (hopefully) take action until it is too late.

The first thing to do is find out who agrees with moderate positions in western secular societies. I would say that the following points are the main attributes:

  • An economic structure that limits both extreme wealth and extreme poverty. No business is permitted to make more than a certain amount of profit. This would encourage business owners to (hopefully) pay staff more, as there is no where else for the profits to go. As in some Spanish cooperatives, there is to be a ratio of payment between the person who earns the least in the company and the person who earns the more.
