What Lyndon Johnson said has nothing to do with what I pointed out - that just because Will Smith hit Chris rock, the entire American white population now has proof that black people are violent and that women cannot stand up for themselves. That has been the message on social media, and it is wrong.

I don't disagree that many white people who have a need to feel superior will belittle (or harm) a black man in order to do so. Those same white men will do exactly the same thing to a lower class white man.
