What is the point of being opposed to it? Are you willing to die when somebody comes at you with a gun? You're not going to fight back and you're going to allow your entire family to be killed because you don't believe in war,?

No sane, well-adjusted human being wants war. However, one eventually realizes that there are a lot of messed up people on this planet and they will take everything you have if you don't fight back. The only language they understand is violence.

It is also impossible for countries to be at war with each other, and for citizens not to be killed. In modern wars, there are always more citizens that get killed than soldiers.

Let's pretend.

An alien nation attacks earth. You are not going to fight them because civilians are going to get killed? Is that your stance? Surrender?

Many of us don't feel that way. Evil people are born. They are not the result of bad family dynamics. Evil people only understand violence. That is the world we live in.
