What I am really curious about is the quality of the article. I tried to read it. Honestly, I did. Beyond boring and longwinded.

I spoke to some fellow writers whom I have known for a decade or more - on other publications. Boring, they said, not the kind of thing I read. Longwinded. And so on. Most of them had not entered the competition - they weren't Medium writers.

I am curiious why anyone would think it worth reading. I tried reading a couple of runners up as well. Same story. Boring.
