What did he expect. Writing is a talent. One cannot just 'learn to write.' The people who are echoing what others say are not writers. They are just - um - echoing what others say.

In addition, anyone who can write is not interested in learning to write. No reader is interested in learning to write. And if one cannot write, then one should not be writing.

In any event, at no time whatsoever, have I ever been caught in an echo chamber - anything but. My thoughts are all original, and very, very original at that. I have had numerous comments and reviews in my life that I was way ahead of the curve in recognising what was happening and what was going to happen.

IT has always been the section on Medium that has the most readers. I was invited to write for Data Science years ago, but I wasn't interested.

No other profession gets 'support' from other members in their group. Doctors don't get emotional support (and that is what it is) from other doctors. I think the issue with setting up 'writers' to get 'emotional support' from other writers, is that they think this is normal. No, it's not. Writing is a hard gig. And writing well is only the beginning.

What is a meta story, anyway?
