Well, yes, just as dancing and painting is for everyone. One can go out onto the dance floor and dance the night away - it doesn't matter if one doesn't have an ounce of rhythm. On the other hand, it would be ludicrous to assume that just because one can dance at a nightclub, one has what it takes to dance in a ballroom dancing competition or become a ballet dancer.

The same standards apply to writing - it's just that most people don't recognize the difference is standards.
