Well, yes. I write many different kind of stories, and I have always made it clear that I write for two reasons. The first is to earn a living. The second is that I think about the things that I write about, and until I have written them down, they don't go out of my head.

Like you, I try to give my readers something to take home. That is because I respect the time ofy readers. Time is the most valuable thing we have, and when we give it to others, we give them something of great value

As someone who has been earning a living as a writer since before the web was invented, I see no shame in writing for money. I am always surprised that some seem to think that there is something unethical about it.
