Well, let me go back to one sentence that I objected to..

The implication of this sentence is that American cannot be a democracy because it is a republic. You do not say America can't be a democracy because the constitution says it can't be democray. You do not say that America can't be a democracy because it has an electoral college.

What you say is that American can't be a democracy because it is a Republic. Again, whether a country is a republic or a monarchy has nothing to do with whether it is a demoracy.

According to Princeton, American is an oligarchy. That said, We are talking about one sentence here, and your misunderstanding of what a republic is.
