Well, Jack, I'm not trying to contribute a single thing. I don't think I have ever done anything with the intent to 'contribute.' I have, from time to time, stepped in to help someone who was struggling and who desperately needed someone to lessen a load, but I don't see that as contributing.
As to atheist writers, my sole encounter was with Sam Wise when he came to do a talk in San Diego. I was not impressed. I disagreed with what he said. And I was bored.
I see absolutely no reason whatsoever to read the work of another atheist. What on earth for? It's a conclusion I reached on my own. I'm not unhappy with it. I don't need any help with it.
With regard to constructive criticism. I don't believe there is such a thing. There is criticism. That is it. I criticize - generally because something doesn't make sense or it contradicts something of an opinion I hold, or it's not quite in line with facts. And then I will listen to the answer and take it from there.
That's my bit!
