Well, I'm not a 'former gifted kid.' I actually was and am gifted. Every single test for more than 60 years has given the same results - from scoring IQ scores of between 165 to off-the-graph.

I never had parents who had any interest in me. I read because it was the only thing I could do as I wasn't allowed to do anything else. I faced extreme abuse. (I am autistic), and nothing was ever recognized except the test scores by my teachers. The education department tested all kids at that time.

I have never accomplished anything, and I got burnt out from working because of office politics and my lack of understanding about people. That's about it.
