Well, if you're not aware of any woke movement, that's your lack of involvement which has led to your ignorance.
I'm not quite sure what country you think I'm in, but it's currently Ireland. I came here 6 months ago. Since March 2020, I have been in London (twice), Cape Town and George in South Africa, Lisbon and Porto in Portugal, and Dusseldorf in Germany. I can assure you that they all know what 'woke' is.
Perhaps you need to widen your net a little?
As I was born and bred in Africa, have dual South African and German citizenship, have both an American Social Security number and the British equivalent, I think I'm in a far better position than you will ever be to know what is going on in the world.
All people are different. There are good people and bad people. This has nothing to do with skin color, but to claim that ideology doesn't influence actions is misleading and inaccurate.
I've posted two woke links. The first one is German. The second one is a Dutch one. The entire world knows what woke is. I was in London a few months ago, and my daughter met with a school friend from 20 years ago. Her friend mentioned 'woke' a good few times.
