Well, I don't know. The reason that Margaret Thatcher killed Unions was precisely because they did. Workers were demanding the same kind of earnings that CEOs had (the papers were full of it at the time). Circa early to mid 70s.

That said, no, workers have never had the same kind of power that capitalists had. They are also never going to have it.

I'm anti-capitalist, but right now, I'd take a mixed economy over nothing at all. Essentially, I think we need to design a resource based economy, eliminate hierarchical economic (class) systems, and banish the ability to have excessive wealth.
