Someone said something to me earlier today (which I have read previously) that all these pandemics only last for two or three years and then they die out or fade in their strength. And this will happen with Covid as well.
I've been thinking about that for the last few hours. Several things occur to me. That until recently in mankind's history, most people's didn't have history books, and the simple reason we may not have any knowledge of times and places where viruses did wipe out tribes is because, well, they no longer exist.
The other thing that occurred to me was that there is no reason to believe that this won't be different, that because of the sheer numbers of carriers, a deadlier virus will evolve, and we really will have no protection against it.
