Well as the Roman Empire was the dominant civllisation in Europe at the time, and as Chrisitanity became the religion of the HolyRoman Empire, of course the teachings of Christianity were deominant from that time. The Holy Roman Empire was large.

I'm talking about western cviilisation. Hindus, Buddhists, etc. did not bring TV, Electronics, flying, antibiotics, etc. They are not responsible for the modern world. I said our modern world is owed to the Enlightenment, and it was Christianiity that stopped scientific advancement up until that point.
