Well, all people are not born equal. Even if one bestows equal opportunity, some are born with massive energy, unique brains, awesome looks, specific talents, etc. Inequality is bred into all lifeforms.

It's not equality we are looking for. It's fairness, equality before the law, reasonable access to resources that should be available to all people.

Yes, there are people who want to be dominant. There are also people who want to kill, rape, plunder, steal, and do all sorts of things. Where do we draw the line? Just because some people want to be dominant, should they be allowed to have power over others. And if so, how much power?

Personally, I'm not comfortable with anyone telling me what to do.

It always amuses me when people want to be dominant over me. Not a chance in hell. So I've observed them to some extent. I use subtlety in simply avoiding what they tell me to do. Initially, they think I don't understand what they expect of me. I calmly nod and carry on my own way. At some point, they confront me, and I tell them that I'm not interested in doing what they 'suggest' I do. Their anger at being disobyed and/or not kowtowed to is amazing to me. Then the threats come. Some have found themselves in arrested and in jail (one of my bosses), others have found themselves with restraining orders, and more. Still others have found themselves faced with lawyers and very quickly stepped aside.

I don't know what is going to happen in South Africa. The whites still retain 90% of the wealth and virtually all the expertise. It is different to the other countries in that western values are far more entrenched than in other countries. That said, I'll be gone in six weeks, and I'm not coming back (I'm a dual German/ South African national).
