We need hardcore scientists - physics, geology, psychology, chemistry, etc - to get together to figure out a sustainable system of production. When I say the best and the brightest, I mean the top .01% - IQs above 150. Plus doctorates and equivalent levels of education.

If we have a few thousand of those working toether to figure out an international system of how we can provide for billions of people on earth without further destroying the eco-system, we stand a chance.

People who represent other people and are 'aware' generally don't have that kind of background. This isn't about representing what people want and need and seeing to their personal or group interests. This is about ensuring the survival of our species beyond the next 50 or 60 years.
