UBI will go a long way towards ending inequality. However, ultimately, the economic system (the system of production and distribution) has to change. Profit has to be made illegal and there should be a maximum limit on what people can earn.
There are other things that need to be done. Imports and exports need to be stopped as much as possible. Only things that are essential and can’t be made in one country can be transported. Our seas are dying as a result of ocean-going cargo ships polluting the seas. When the seas go, we go.

Have no idea what the Alaska Permanent Fund has to do with anything. The reason UBI hasn’t been tried is that the rich have a lot of power, and they don’t want it implemented. Just as a lot of people don’t wish to return to work now, when people have UBI, they won’t want to work for the arseholes who run businesses either.
