I grew up in the aftermath of WWII. We focused on war poetry in those days…
I realized a few minutes ago that today was Poppy Day — the day when everybody used to wear a red poppy to commemorate those who died in WWI. Perhaps, it was a silent tribute to those who fell in WWII as well, but the day was a tribute to the 40 million whose lives were cut…
