There were five other countries that recovered more quickly from the pandemic than other countries. They were Finland, Norway, Germany, Switzerland, and Australia, none of which has the number or percentage of deaths that America had.

The labor shortage in the US is nothing to boast about. They are all in terrible industries which only the most uneducated and the most desperate will take. This is primarily because protective Labor Law in the USA is non-existent. It shocked the hell out of me when I moved from the UK to the US. Even my native South Africa had superior labor law to America.
You say, "Another BENEFIT of immigrants is that they are younger and pay into Social Security and Medicare, and may never collect a dime themselves."
These are not immigrants. There is a massive difference between immigrants, migrants, and illegal aliens. Immigration is a legal process for which you have to provide level of education, level of assets, have police checks for all the countries you have lived in, have medical checks to see that you aren't bringing in any disease, and many other checks. Only if you pass those checks are you permitted into the country.
There is nothing ethical about letting people work in a country without benefit to them. I spent 11 years in America and I find it comparative to the third world in lacking the humanities. It's one of the major reasons that Americans so stressed, have so much obesity, ill health, and mental illness. It's just another third world country with third world values, and some third world countries are better at looking after all its people than America is.
You said, "With the fall in the birth rate, the U.S. has far from exhausted all the need for labor (including farm workers) that Americans absolutely refuse to do.
The birthrate has fallen amongst the people who most need to give birth - the ones with the genetic intellect to move the country away from its continuing move towards the bottom. In the longer term, bringing in those with nothing to offer except basic labor is not a good idea.
You said, "So, I think the United States has a competitive advantage over other countries."
is that how you assess whether a country is successful or doing well?
You know, anyone can win a competition, depending on how ruthless they are, or how much they want to cheat. It's also not a competition. Most of the countries that are doing better than the USA aren't actually in a competition with other countries.
The UK has a lower inflation rate than the USA. That is despite Brexit.
Yes, Brits do realize what a mistake Brexit was, but the reason that Tories may lose is not because of Brexit. Ironically, it's the same reason that Brexit was voted for - mass migration from third world countries disrupting British law, draining social services, and demoralizing British culture.
You say that America has the highest level of young immigrants. Keep in mind that you're confusing migrants and illegal aliens with legal immigration. No, it doesn't, and for the record, most immigrants tend to be young.
UAE, Katar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Australia, Switzerland, New Zealand, Lebanon, Israel, Canada, Kazakstan, Sweden, Austria, Germany, Gabon, and Ireland, are in the top 20. America isn't there.

Abortion is not the biggest reason why Trump is winning. In fact, as most of the population would like to legitimize abortion, your comment does not make sense. It is the extremes on the left which are now worse than the extremes on thee right.
