There is no such thing as it being beneficial for any company to invest in any country if the benefits do not outweigh the investment. So I don't see your point.

We don't need investment from outside the country. Mandela should have nationalized the gold and diamonds for 20 years and build the infrastructure providing people in townships with decent housing. At the same time, he should have upped the skills training - anything from bricklaying to growing herbs in garden pots. Whatever.

The government is a reflection of the have-nots. It's the haves who are screwing the country.
