There is a vast difference between giving people the information to make their own decisions, and giving people the kind of information that makes such sense that they immediately accept it than indoctrinating them with religion, for instance.

Parents and teachers should not influence. They should provide objective information.

You know what my daughter told me when she was 13? That she trusted me implicitly because I old her there was no such thing as Father Christmas, and other children no longer trusted their parents, because their parents lied to them. My daughter is 35 today, but she has always trusted everything I say. I don't have the shitty relationships so many other parents have with their kids.
