There are no other views - just eroneous opinions. I also have no idea what utilitarian ethics are. Ethics have always evolved according to the tribe or village or community that people lived in.

When our forebears saw that doing things a certain way resulted in something bad, they made it a rule not to do that thing - that is an ethic. That has always been what ethics are.

Sure there are religions and movements that confuse their religious morality with ethics, but it's not the same thing. The one is based on pie in the sky. The other is based on the survival of the species.
