Then you don't understand what ethics are. Ethics evolved with the human race - from the time they were nomads. It had nothing to do with production and distribution (economy).

Ethics are rules based on what works for the community to ensure their survival. I am not exposed to American propaganda, and I grew up in a country where television was banned, so never saw television until I was 25 years old.

Religion also has nothing to do with ethics. There are very few ethical rules in any religion. However, many of the rules did evolve from something that was ethical at one time.

Ethics change, based entirely on whether something will work for the greatest good of mankind.
